My Street Films PL – call for entries.

Call for entries for Polish edition of My Street Film is now open.

We are thrilled to launch a Polish edition of My Street Films – an international film project which first took place in London and Prague. The main task for contestants is to create short documentary films about specific places around them, which will later become a film map of Poland. Awarded movies will be screened during 55. Krakow Film Festival in June and the winners will take part in professional workshops. Everyone can participate in the project, regardless of previous film experience. 

My Street Films is a project that began in London in co-operation with the British documentary festival Open City Docs Fest and then moved to Prague (as a project of the online documentary portal DAFilms.com). This year, it will become a place of the encounter and comparison of other Central European cities and their citizens (Czech, Slovak, Polish and Polish edition is organized by Krakow Film Foundation and the aim of the project is to discover  unknown places and less popular streets which will create a film map of Poland. 

Films cannot be longer than 10 minutes and should fit in our film map. My Street Films is not intended for film professionals and their fans only; anyone who desires to capture the world around them and share their stories can submit their film.

The winner of the main prize will receive accreditation for Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival. 20 best filmmakers will participate in professional workshops and their movies will be presented during 55. Krakow Film Festival. Moreover, the makers of 3 best movies will receive festival passes for the whole festival.
