The call for entries for 55th KFF is now closed

We have received record number of 3516 submissions from all over the world.

We have finished accepting the submissions for all four competitions of 55th Krakow Film Festival. We have received 3516 submissions, which is 355 submissions more than last year. We have:

  • 752 submissions in the documentary films over 30 minutes category
  • 569 submissions in the documentary films below 30 minutes category
  • 1832 submissions in the feature films category
  • 363 submissions in the animated films category

The countries which have submitted the biggest number of films are: Germany (403), France (363) and Great Britain (249). We have also received projects from such distant countries as Burkina Faso, Makau, Tuvalu or Haiti.

269 of all the submissions are Polish, among them:

  • 62 submissions in the documentary films over 30 minutes category
  • 72 submissions in the documentary films below 30 minutes category
  • 85 submissions in the feature films category
  • 50 submissions in the animated films category

The Selection Committee consisting out of 15 people and headed by Krzysztof Gierat, KFF director, has been working since autumn. The results of the selection are expected to be announced in April.
