American Film Academy has announced nominations for Oscar awards. We would like to remind that laureates of the Golden Dragon and Silver Dragons for short feature film and short animated film are automatically entitled to applying for Academy Award nomination in the short film category.
In the Documentary Feature nominees are:
- "5 Broken Cameras"
- "The Gatekeeperts"
- "How to Survive a Plague"
- "The Invisible War"
- "Searching for Sugar Man"
In the Documentary Short category following titles have been nominated:
- "Inocente"
- "Kings Point"
- "Mondays at Racine"
- "Open Heart"
- "Redemption"
For the Live Action Short Film category nominees are:
- "Asad"
- "Buzkashi Boys"
- "Curfew"
- "Death of the Shadow"
- "Henry"

In the category Animated Short Film chances for award have:
- "Adam and Dog"

The nomination for Janusz Kaminski, for the best cinematography for "Lincoln" dir. Steven Spielberg, is enjoyable Polish accent for this year’s ceremony. We keep our fingers crossed! The Awards Gala will take place on 24th February.
