Busy festival autumn

Krakow Film Foundation at Moscow, Barcelona, Leipzig, Mexico, Winterthur and Amsterdam.

This is a busy autumn for Krakow Film Foundation team. Festival director Krzysztof Gierat in the quest of searching for new films for 53rd edition of the Festival has visited recently Red Square Screenings in Moscow and In-Edit Beefeater in Barcelona. He also attended Warsaw Film Festival to join the fellow festival directors of The Agreement of Leading International Film Festivals in Poland for the meeting.

Director of Programme Office Barbara Orlicz-Szczypuła and Industry Zone & Krakow Film Market Coordinator Katarzyna Wilk have attended DOK Leipzig.

November brings more journeys. Barbara Orlicz – Szczypuła, Director of Programme Office and Katarzyna Wilk, Industry Zone Coordinator will attend DOCSDF in Mexico, November 7th to 12th. The programme of the event includes big retrospective of Polish documentaries, those old and classic ones like “The Musicians” (1960) by Kazimierz Karabasz or “The Elementary” (1976) by Wojciech Wiszniewski and new ones like “Till It Hurts” by Marcin Koszałka or “Argentinian Lesson” (2011) by Wojciech Staroń. Patrycja Czarny, Programme Office Coordinator will be in attendance at International Short Film Festival Winterthur, November 7th to 10th, where she will make the participants familiar with Krakow Film Festival’s profile.

Krzysztof Gierat, Festival Director and Katarzyna Wilk, Industry Zone and Market Coordinator will be in attendance at IDFA in Amsterdam, November 16th to 22nd. The director will be searching for the films for the selection and Katarzyna Wilk, who represents Film Promotion Agency, will be promoting Polish shorts and documentaries.
