OUR PARTNER POD BARANAMI CINEMA AWARDED!

Pod Baranami cinema was granted prestigious Europa Cinemas Award for the Best Programming.

Kino Pod Baranami cinema, which for several years has been one of the most important festival venues, was awarded by Europa Cinemas network for the best programming among European cinemas.

 

There is no need to introduce Kino Pod Baranami to Krakow Film Festival guests and viewers. Every year in the end of May and beginning of June, the public fill in Blue and Red Auditorium to take a break in following intense competition efforts and emotions, and to chill out, savour the special screenings, discover rare archive gems and to meet the authors.

 

Therefore we are very pleased to hear about the award on the European scale for “our Barany” 🙂  

 

Europa Cinemas, exclusive network of art-house cinemas, of which Kino Pod Baranami is member since 1996, each year is awarding 3 prizes to the best network participants for:

-Best Programming

-Best Young Audience activities

-Best Entrepreneur

 

Europa Cinemas Board of Directors met in Gothenburg on 4th October and has given the Best Programming Award 2009 to cinema KINO POD BARANAMI in Krakow. Pod Baranami has been awarded for the greatest variety of the ambitious program.

 

The award will be handed on the occasion of the 14th Europa Cinemas Network Conference. The Award Ceremony will be held on Friday 20th November in Warsaw at 9.30PM at Cinema Muranow.

 

The award honours the 2008 activities, but also appreciates the constant efforts and its way of development.

A big congratulations to Mrs. Bożena and Marynia Gierat and all the staff of Kino Pod Baranami for this success! We are also glad that as Krakow Film Festival we have a small share in improving the programme diversity.
