Krakow Film Foundation cooperates with BRITDOC concerning Good Pitch Europe 2013.
Krakow Film Foundation has become a Friend and Ally of Good Pitch Europe; an innovative model that brings groundbreaking documentary films to life.
Good Pitch is a one-day live event first imagined by BRITDOC and the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program in 2008. Good Pitch brings together filmmakers with foundations, NGOs, campaigners, philanthropists, policy makers, brands and media around leading social issues – to forge coalitions and campaigns that are good for all these partners, good for the films and good for society.
Running several times throughout the year in the US and Europe, it brings together specially selected foundations, NGOs, social entrepreneurs, broadcasters and potential corporate and brand partners to form powerful alliances around groundbreaking films. At Good Pitch, each team has seven minutes to present their film and its associated outreach campaign to a roundtable of 10 invited representatives and a theater of participants. The 10 pitch table participants change for each project, assuring that the right films are always matched to the right partners. Krakow Film Foundation contributes as a potential distributor.
The projects eligible for the pitching must be feature length (over 60 minutes) and must tackle important global and national issues. The organizers look for projects at any stage from early production to completion; rough cut stage is ideal. The call is open to projects looking for completion funding, outreach funding, campaigning networks or a combination of these.
Good Pitch Europe will take place on 7th June 2013, the deadline for submissions is 28th January 2013.
