Animation Today – deadline extended

New application deadline for workshops with Andreas Hykade is 9th August.

European Film Academy has extended deadline for application for EFA Master Class Animation Today with Andreas Hykade. New deadline is 9th August.

The EFA Master Class 2013 ANIMATION TODAY is dedicated to modern animation. During the week, participants will form a team and create an animation film from the original idea to the completed film. The workshop will be offered in a short term training format of seven days including the arrival and departure day. In a mixture of group sessions, screenings, case studies and lectures, but with a focus on hands-on exercises, the workshop will allow the participants to gain a profound knowledge of the
creation of an animation film covering all stadiums of a classic animation production: idea, story, design, project bible, storyboard, animatic, layout, animation, scoring and exploitation.

Held by author, designer and director Andreas Hykade, the workshop will be accompanied by Ari Folman, Phil Mulloy, David OReilly and Izabela Plucinska who will share their individual approach to the respective “topic of the day”.

Participation fee: EUR 500 covering participation and meals. Transport and accommodation are not included. A limited amount of scholarships is available. EFA Master Classes are also liable for support by national MEDIA Desks and/or film institutions.

The workshop will take place at Ludwigsburg (Germany), from 9th till 15th September 2013. Working language is English.

The organizer of the Animation Today is European Film Academy together with Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg’s Institute of Animation. European Film Academy is a partner of Krakow Film Festival.
