Call for entries for 55th edition of Krakow Film Festival, which will take place between 30th May and 7th June 2015, is now open. We await submissions of documentary, short and animated films.
55th edition of the Krakow Film Festival, the oldest Polish film event, accredited by FIAPF, and nominating films to Oscars and European Film Awards, will be held at the end of May and the beginning of June 2015. In Krakow the films compete in four equivalent competition – national and three international: short, documentary and music documentaries DocFilmMusic.
Feature films, animations and documentaries shorter than 30 minutes take part in the short film competition, where the main prize is the Golden Dragon. Documentary competition is for the documentary films longer than 30 minutes and the best of them receives the Golden Horn. In DocFilmMusic competition music documentaries longer than 30 minutes compete for the Golden Heynal. National competition is open to Polish feature and animated films shorter than 30 minutes and documentaries without a limit of time. The Selection Committee decides about Polish films that will participate in the international competitions.
In the all international competitions, Polish premiere is required and preference is given to the international premieres. In the national competition the Polish premiere is not obligatory, but a preference is given to the films that have not been theatrically released or screened at any festival in Poland before the 55th KFF.
Only films completed after 1st January 2014 are eligible for competitions.
Films can be submitted in a following ways:
1. Public or private video link with or without password with no expiration date (e.g. Vimeo, Youtube, etc.).
2. File upload via Festival web page (MP4, MOV).
Selection deadlines:
• 30th November 2014 for films completed before 31st October 2014.
• 31st January 2015 for films completed after 31st October 2014.
