‘Fuck for Forest’, ‘Vodka Factory’ and ‘Men at War’ nominated.
The nominations for Polish Film Awards – Eagles have been announced. Documentary films are among the nominees for the first time.
The nominations (3 in every category) came from the members of the Polish Film Academy, the representatives of Polish film industry (directors, actors, producers, screenwriters, editors, cinematographers, composers, etc.). Until now, the chance of nomination for the Eagles applied only to the best: film, cinematography, editing, sound, art direction, costumes, music, directing, screenplay, male and female performance and discovery of the year, the category best documentary has joined this year. Among several dozen of eligible documentaries, members of the Academy have chosen three feature lenght documentaries: ‘Fuck for Forest’ by Michal Marczak, ‘Vodka Factory’ by Jerzy Sladkowski and ‘Men at war’ by Jacek Blawut. The last two have been shown at 51st and 52nd Krakow Film Festival, respectively.
Polish Eagles – annual awards of the Polish Film Academy – are the equivalent of the French Cesars, Czech Lions or Spanish Goyas. The award ceremony will take place on 4th March 2013.
