New year, new ideas, new plans, but the aim remains the same – to improve Krakow Film Festival. The jubilee edition is ahead of us, so the expectations of viewers, guests and partners are high. We hope to meet them.

So far the beginning of the new year is really good. Director Krzysztof Gierat has received a very nice letter from the European Film Academy. It is the echo of the triumph of ‘Poste Restante’ during European Film Award ceremony in December. Marcel Lozinski’s documentary film was nominated for the award thanks to the decision of international jury chaired by Zbigniew Rybczynski at 49th KFF. Therefore the Academy congratulates the Festival and the jury for the excellent choice.
Another good news comes from our own city – ‘Krakow Post’, the newspaper in English published monthly, has named 49. Krakow Film Festival the Best Event of 2009! An array of films as well as its accompanying events have been greatly appreciated. We are really happy, especially that in Krakow ‘cultural’ competition is strong.
Successes always motivate us, so we enter the new year with enthusiasm and lots of energy. 🙂
