Aleksander Dembski
He was a student of Polish Studies and Philosophy at the University of Łódź. His amateur films won many awards, including the Golden Medal at the UNICA Festival for Paper Sun. In 1999 he earned a degree in Film Directing from the Radio and Television Faculty at the University of Silesia. After studies he made documentaries (CROSS for TVP1), independent documentary films, such as K2 — On The Edge, awarded in Poland and abroad (Grand Prix and Audience Award at the 2nd Krakow Mountain Film Festival).
Peter Torbiörnsson
Film director, journalist and correspondent for Swedish press, radio and television. He was born in 1941. Since 1979 he has directed and produced over 20 documentary films focusing on, among others, Latin America, Africa, Bosnia and Sweden. They include a well-known documentary series about a Nicaraguan family from the village of San Fernando: The Border (1985), Reyno (1987), The Ceasefire (1988) and The Lovers of San Fernando (2001). The 52nd KFF will feature his latest film Last Chapter. Goodbye Nicaragua.
