A Russian director born in Ukraine is observing the revolution in the Maidan and the recent war through the perspective of his own family living in various parts of the country: Lviv, Crimea, Odessa and the Donbass. While visiting his relatives and having honest conversations with them he shows the complex identity of many of today’s Ukrainians. His film goes against the trend in which the media tend to present political events and ethnic divisions in this country.
