The Woman and the Glacier
Lithuania, Estonia2016documentary57'Konkurs dokumentalny (2017)
Aušra Revutaite has spent her life studying glaciers. For 30 years she has been living in the Tian Shan mountains at the altitude of 3500 meters. Cut off from the world, she is accompanied only by a dog and cat. The Lithuanian glaciologist’s everyday work is observed against the backdrop of the breathtaking views of Tuyuksu, a glacier in Kazakhstan. The second lead in the film went to majestic and untouched nature, which, at the same time, is dangerous in its unpredictability.
