The Brothers Nazaroff is a group made of eminent Klezmer musicians from different countries. It was established to honour the memory of Nathan Nazaroff, also dubbed as “Prince”, who revived this music tradition in the 1950s. The film is a journey to Central and Eastern Europe in search of musical roots and an attempt to answer the important questions of today related to ethnic identity.

Screen writer, director and producer. He was born in 1966 in Oradea, Romania. He graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest. Since 1994 he has been working in France with Jean-Paul Rappeneau and Tony Gatlif. A co-author of the script for his feature-length debut Fool’s Song (2003) was Suzanne Schiffman, a long-time collaborator of Francois Truffaut. His latest picture Soul Exodus has won an award for the best documentary at the Hungarian Film Week.
