Seldom can documentary cinema offer a deep insight into autism. Rather than a condition, it explores it as a peculiar way of seeing the world and functioning in it. Following a few young characters with Asperger syndrome, the director makes them, to some extent, the co-creators of the film and filters reality through their sensitivity. At the same time he inspires the audience to reflect on what we tend to describe as “normal” and “abnormal”.
