In the Cave of the Mountain King
Poland1996animated4'Retrospektywa Witolda Giersza (2017)
Another animated miniature made to classical music, not less spectacular. This time the director creates his own graphic vision of Edvard Grieg’s beautiful piece “Peer Gynt”, op.46, no 1. Music in a film, according to the director, “not only illustrates and helps to create the atmosphere, but, using counterpoint, may also intensify impressions and indicate a new event.” Awarded at festivals in Bratislava and Warsaw.
