The Family

In 1987, Australian police released 14 children detained by a sect which had been active for a number of years. Its “brain” was a yoga teacher, Anne Hamilton-Byrne, who, together with her husband, adopted children illegally or took over those born in the sect. The film reconstructs traumatic events with the participation of the victims, who are adults now, together with their families. The events also had an impact on those who became involved in the investigation against the “Family”.
