She comes from a family with acting traditions but, instead of choosing the stage and applause, she led a boring life of a secretary instead. He, a child of an avid circus performer, performed dangerous circus stunts. They met in Italy where the woman went, dreaming of acting. They fell in love, started a family and have been married for 50 years. Luis’s unusual tricks are now only to be seen in archival recordings and recalled in his memories; an impressive display of acrobatics is now replaced by the make-up of an aging clown. Despite their advanced age, the couple does not want to leave the circus, which is their home.
