Jungle Light

“The Jungle”, a camp for illegal immigrants near Calais, known very well from the media reports, becomes a setting for the film combining two different genres, which is closer to a documentary than a feature film. The thread bringing together various stories of refugees and volunteers is a lighter. The unassuming object travels through the camp and observes, eavesdrops and allows us to do the same. The strength of this project is the insights it provides, which a journalist who pops into the camp just for a moment, with a camera, searching for a catchy story to hit the headlines, is unable to do.
