Is any understanding possible between two nations in conflict? The Jewish director of the documentary who is a former journalist meets an Arab actor, Gassan Abbas, who was once a popular sitcom star. Both cannot find themselves in the conflicted reality of Israel nowadays. The director writes feature articles, Abbas plays parts in independent plays, but they feel increasingly more marginalised and undervalued. Maybe, emigration, which was chosen by the actor’s son, is the only solution?
