From Music into Silence

Can music help in the ultimate encounter with death? An Australian harpist, Peter Roberts, believes it is possible. As a musical thanatologist, he accompanies dying people in the process of going to the other side. The film shows him at the moment when he is facing his own old age and the prospect of death. The camera captures him when his fascination with Jalāl ad-Dīn Rumi's mystical poetry inspires him to set out on a personal journey to the land of dancing dervishes.
