In the film ”Life Is Somewhere Else”, the director settled accounts with his father and his hippie concept of freedom. This time, he tells the story of his own attempts to create a perfectly functioning patchwork family. He directs the camera at himself, the women he had relationships with and their children to confront this utopian project with the prose of daily life, individual emotions and desires. The result is a vivisection of complicated family relations.
