Joe Boots
Germany, USA2017documentary30'Konkurs krótkometrażowy (2018)
A trip to Iran in the very heart of Pittsburgh. Young Joe Boots joined the army under the influence of the September 11 events. Mentally unprepared, he ended up in the middle of brutal reality, unknown to him. Terrible explosions and deaths of his companions were commonplace in Iraq, but the nightmare of the war did not end after his return to the US. His traumatic experiences continued to accompany him and, alone in his pain, Joe started drinking. When alcohol no longer helped he turned to drugs, but they caused depression and numbness. Suicidal thoughts, teeming in his mind, turned out to be a warning signal for the protagonist.
