Film for Carlos
Russia2017documentary31'Konkurs krótkometrażowy (2018)
It is hard to please your in-laws, especially if you are a foreigner who has just fathered their grandson. Renato tries to have a good relationship with the parents of the woman he loves, but the cultural differences that divide them seem to be hard to overcome. The grandparents of his son are proud Russians who do not like foreigners and the grandson not only received a Spanish name but also inherited the looks after his Guatemalan father. The film, recorded by Renato and dedicated to his son, is a friendly gesture towards his parents-in-law who are in need of a lesson of openness and tolerance.
