Era of Dance

In the late 1980s in Western Europe, electronic dance music was king. Thanks to people like Indulis Bilzēns, a multi-media artist born in Riga, this music got to the other side of the Iron Curtain. A dynamic collage of archival footage and contemporary utterances of the veterans of this style helps us to understand the extent of its influence at the time of social and economic changes when it became the symbol of newly awoken freedom.
