In the end of the 19th century, 73 Estonian families left their homeland looking for a better life. After 13 tough years of wandering, they found a perfect place where they decided to settle – Sochi by the Black Sea. When Russia decides to organise the Olympic Games there in 2014, the fate of the immigrants’ descendants in their new homeland is put in doubt. The landscape that encouraged their ancestors to settle down slowly ceases to exist.
