Icarus
Belgium2017fiction25'Konkurs krótkometrażowy (2018)
A myth about Dedalus and Icarus transferred to the landscape of Groix island, hypnotising with its beauty and austerity. A lonely inventor is obsessed with flying. He believes that only a pure, innocent and light person may lift himself up without the help of any complex aviation equipment, using only his own arms with wings attached to them. He finds a boy who matches the ideal and infects him with his ambition. The director and screenwriter, Nicolas Boucart, who had gained experience working as a cinematographer and technician on a number of European productions, made sure that his classic story was given a beautiful visual form.
