How are Poles perceived on the British Isles? A small town in Wales at the turn of June and July 2016. The Welsh football team gets to the EURO Championships semi-finals and the UK decides to leave the EU. Emotions reach an all-time high and some people mistake racism for patriotism. Alicja runs a Polish shop and her daughter Kasia makes extra money cleaning streets. A group of local teenage girls does not like it. But Kasia is not afraid – she is hiding a secret and it is better not to push her boundaries. Harry Lighton, whose earlier picture "Wren Boys" was a BAFTA nominee for the best short film, combines austere social cinema with magic realism.
