What is loneliness? Summersaulting on a curtain rail in your thoughts, arranging dead flies on a pillow or reading yellowed pages of the same books once again. It is also a room with no way out to which the door handle was removed on the man’s own wish. It depends entirely on him whether he can free himself out of it one day. Such a picture of loneliness emerges from the short story by Brunon Schulz, which, supplemented by the observations of filmmakers, became a few-minute-long, albeit in-depth, study of the phenomenon.

Betina Bożek
Director of animated films and illustrator. She was born in 1993 in Kraków. She graduated from the Animated Film Studio of the Academy of Fine Arts. She has created several animated films admired across the world (e.g. "O Jezu," "Kaprysia", "Deserowy jamnik"). She is a laureate of international competitions, artistic scholarships and film festivals.
