The Ballad of Shirley Collins
United Kingdom2017documentary94'Konkurs DocFilmMusic (2018)
She was one of those who revived the interest in traditional English music in the 1960s and 1970s. Because of her voice problems, Shirley Collins had to discontinue her career. But she did not give up. The film authors tell us a story of the living legend of folk music, going back in time to show both the period of her glory and the most tragic moments of her life. Today, this over-80-year-old singer makes a comeback in great style.
