„Polonia Restituta” is a documentary showing the fight for independence during World War I and the Battle of Warsaw. It was made in 1928 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. The film director has remained unknown. The main character of „Flag of Freedom” (1935) by Ryszard Oryński is Józef Piłsudski. The picture, based on the available archival materials, such as photographs, film fragments, documentaries, press materials and additional staged scenes, shows the heroism of Poles fighting for independence.
