Who is one of the most eminent and the most mysterious Estonian composers? The documentary title is a reference to the choral cycle composed by Tõnu Kõrvits inspired by Emily Brontë’s Gothic novel “The Wuthering Heights”.

Marianne Kõrver is a documentary filmmaker (b. 1980). She graduated from Baltic Film and Media School, majoring in film directing. She has done several portrait documentaries about Estonian artists (painter and fashion designer Agu Pilt, jewellery designer Kadri Mälk) and composers (Eduard Tubin and Erkki-Sven Tüür). Marianne Kõrver’s main subjects of interest are human, environment and religion - and the difficult and contradictory relations between these subjects in the modern Western civilization.
