The Satanic Temple is an American organization which uses satanic symbols to promote progressive ideas, such as social justice, the freedom of thought or the separation of church and state. The film authors focus on this unique phenomenon, often bordering on performance and tomfoolery. For the new category of “believers”, Satan has become a rebellion symbol and today’s Satanists are in fact activists who would like to be seen in the public sphere and try to change the world for better using unconventional methods.
