It's the Hooligans!

The film directed by Hoffmann and Skorzewski, graduates of the Moscow Film School, focuses on the issue of hooliganism. In staged shots of Warsaw streets and cafes we could see young people who drink too much alcohol, rob, mug and, finally, kill. However, the films is not an accusation against groups of young criminals. Similarly to other films of the ‘black series’, the film shows that the communist authorities were powerless and didn’t devote enough time to young people. The authors of the film believe that the system could be changed. Despite the fact that "Watch out! Hooligans!" is a documentary, a contemporary viewer could have a different impression. The film is fully staged, it is realized using methods characteristic of feature films. The narration is emotional and almost constant.
