Magazine covers, live transmissions on TV, crowds cheering under his window day and night – sudden fame starts to overwhelm the protagonist. But initial fear and the sense of entrenchment subside when, step by step, he climbs to the very top. What is awaiting him there? Underpinned with anxiety, the film focuses on the creation of idols and their elevation to the pedestal, a reference to the myth of Icarus. It combines acting with animation, not only because Wojciech Wojtkowski, an animator, was cast as the lead.
