A Little Bit of Paradise

The family shown in the film inhabits their own microcosm. Even though the smokestacks of an agglomeration loom on the horizon, the family’s life follows a separate course, without any unnecessary words. It is determined, on the one hand, by modest financial means, on the other –the joy of freedom. Andrzej Cichocki's documentary debut depicts a series of everyday events, arranged to match the rhythm of a family's life. There is a poetic dimension of each situation: a show of killing a hen, a football match watched on a TV set in the backyard or children’s carefree games.
