His concerts look like shamanic rituals. Born in Morocco, this Israeli singer and drummer treats his music like a prayer as well as a social message drawing attention to the situation of Mizrahi Jews. Shlomo Bar’s art is the space where the East meets the West and where cultural influences can come together. In the film, the charismatic musician talks about his inspirations, discovery of religion and complicated personal life. Numerous musical clips illustrate the pathway he had walked along before he became a fulfilled artist and man.
