No Ghost in the Morgue
Canada2022fiction16'Międzynarodowy konkurs filmów krótkometrażowych (2022)
Minimalist cinema that offers its space to those whose right to self-determination is generally, and definitely too often, denied. The family either accepts the scandal or gives their daughter in marriage to the man who raped her. Resolving the matter through the courts means a well-deserved prison sentence for the criminal, but it also brings shame on the family of the victim. So provides the tradition. But what about the voice, the feelings and the choice of the woman herself? Her drama takes place among the harsh expanses of the desert and the sea. It happens in silence interrupted only by the few words spoken by relatives and judges and by the waves hitting the shore in the scorching sun of Bahrain.
