A Dead Marriage
Poland2022fiction19'Konkurs polski (2022)
Sometimes we get beguiled the most by simple unassuming stories, little gestures and timid words. In this modest film that touches upon some sensitive areas, two people meet on the set: Filip - a middle-aged man and Łucja - a woman who runs a café and is renovating her flat. Both carry their own life baggage. Filip works as an extra who specialises in playing dead bodies. No one is better then him as he knows all the tricks on how to stop breathing or avoid winking. For Łucja, it is a novel adventure. Together, they are playing a marriage who was killed in a historical battle. They are to lie hugging each other. During breaks between re-shots, they start talking.
