Rain in 2020
Taiwan, Myanmar2021documentary79'Żarliwcy (2022)
The rain does not stop. The water pours into the houses and covers the floors, while the inhabitants become accustomed to its presence. Submerged up to their knees, they cook, pray and look after their children. This documentary, filmed over a period of seven years, shows families affected by annual recurring floods. The devastation is catastrophic and the government makes minimum effort to repair the damage. On a macro scale, it is a story of change over several years in Myanmar, as well as the dangers of work in jade mines and the virus that is beginning to spread around the world at this time.
