His voice became an inspiration for today’s rappers, such as Travis Scott or A$ap Rocky, possibly because for over half a century on stage Lee Fields has remained himself, a vocalist devoted to soul music, regardless of the changing trends and technologies. The disco era jeopardised his career, but he made a comeback and is still full of vigour. For 9 years the film authors accompanied him in his musical explorations and resumes, the result of which is a portrait of a timeless artist who has not spoken his last word yet.

Jessamyn Ansary is a writer and filmmaker. Most recently, she co-produced a feature true crime documentary for Hulu, and produced a series of short branded documentaries for eBay. Other TV experience includes writing and producing for platforms such as HBO Documentaries, National Geographic, Travel Channel, HBO Max, Oxygen, PBS, and CNBC, among others, and casting talent for multiple Food Network shows, including Chopped. Jessamyn is currently a scriptwriter for Jupiter Entertainment, where she writes for multiple true crime shows including Snapped and Sins of the City.
Joyce Mishaan
Joyce Mishaan is a Director from Brooklyn NY. She’s the Executive Producer of Food Network’s "Me or the menu" (2022), "Ciao house" (2022) and Senior Producer for "Chopped" (2013 – 2016); Documentary Credits: Producer for "Makers" (2022); Associate Producer, "Escape fire: the fight of rescue American healthcare" (2014 Emmy nominee); "Lee Fields: faithful man" is her directorial debut for a feature doc, with Jessamyn Ansary. Joyce is also Co-EP of "Brooklynifaction" , a comedy series for BRIC TV/Amazon Prime.
