The Klezmer Project

There are no real klezmers any more. A young Argentinian film maker who has Jewish roots wants to prove otherwise and sets off with his camera for Moldova, a homeland of his grannie. This musical and documentary road cinema combined with a love story featuring a clarinettist (and the co-director) sometimes may change into a self-deprecating joke or an essay on the dying Yiddish culture. Wandering through the Carpathian borderlands, the film directors discover that klezmers, who disappeared a long time ago, left numerous traces of their existence in local music.
