Not until recently was the world ready to accept a female orchestra conductor. Simone Young, an Australian with a baton, is one of the first women who paved the way. Due to bias because of her gender and young age, it was not an easy path, in particular when she became a mother. A story about this struggle is a hymn to determination, professionalism, partnership in marriage as well as the harmony with which Young can reconcile her family and professional life. The document was produced by Cate Blanchett, the star of ‘Tár’, who takes the role of the renowned maestra this time.
