Shots of the deserted rooms and superimposed archival photographs evoke the memory of the tragic fate of the Jewish people, who constituted a significant part of Polish society before World War II. In places like Krakow's Kazimierz, traces of the Jewish presence and their fascinating culture survived even the turmoil of war.
