In November 2020, rapper Denis Solís was abducted by officers of the Cuban National Revolutionary Police Force. After an abbreviated trial, he was sentenced to 8 months of imprisonment for alleged contempt of court. In the aftermath of these events, a group of activists barricaded themselves inside the seat of San Isidro, an independent cultural organisation of which the musician was also a member. Demanding the liberation of Solís and other imprisoned Cubans, some of them went on a hunger strike. Director Katherine Bisquet was one of the protesters and filmed from up close the members of the movement remaining inside the house.

She has published the poetry books “Algo aquí se descompone” (2014) and “Uranio empobrecido! (2021). She has also directed the film “En San Isidro” (2023). Co-creator of Rialta Magazine's column Cuban Cinema in Quarantine (2020-2022), an initiative aimed at the research, preservation, and promotion of Cuban cinema.
