Potatoes

“One day you will learn to draw, one day you will have an expensive car, one day you will be successful” - the list of the father’s expectations from his son makes the young man unable to enjoy everyday life. Living in the shadow of unfulfilled ambitions since his childhood, he can feel he is insufficently good to satisfy his parent. The situation changes when he becomes a parent himself. Will he set the bar for his own child equally high? This charming animation about parenthood, mutual expectations, unfulfilled ambitions and letting oneself err was drawn using a comic strip line, which results in ‘Potatoes’ looking like ‘Peanuts’.
