At the time of Poland’s first post-war world championship in boxing, this sport discipline was iconic. In the 1950s, boxing was more popular than football. In ruined Warsaw, a legendary coach, Feliks Stamm, must rebuild the Polish boxing squad to face the most powerful team in the world – that of the USSR. The event is no longer about sport only, it has a political dimension, too. The most titled boxers fight on the Polish team. This memorable championship is shown through the eyes of its witnesses, including Daniel Olbrychski and Tadeusz Olszański.
