Silent Panorama
Belgium2024animated5'Międzynarodowy konkurs krótkometrażowy (2024)
Splashing of a stream, rustling of leaves, chirping of birds – the sounds of nature that fill this animated film are disrupted by the swooshing of a tent opened by two campers emerging out of it. Following them, the viewer can hear other noises – of a tree being felled, a factory or a rain. With consecutive sounds, more fragments of a picture drawn on a piece of paper, which includes the entire plot of the animation, are being revealed. An interesting formal experiment which attracts attention to the sound rather than the image and makes us more aware of how man drowns out the peaceful life of nature.
