The master class with Wiktor Kossakowski, opening Dragon Forum 2013, will take place on 16th December at Iluzjon cinema, Warsaw.
The master class with Wiktor Kossakowski, one of the most distinguished documentary filmmakers, is going to take place on December 16 in Iluzjon cinema, Warsaw. The master class will mark a beginning of the 2013 Dragon Forum, which final pitching will take place at 53rd Krakow Film Festival.
This event, which is a part of the 12th International Film Festival WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film program, is co-organized by the Academy of Documentary Arts (the organizer of the Dragon Forum). Wiktor Kossakowski is going to be the lecturer and a tutor of projects carried out during the forum’s next year’s edition.
Wiktor Kossakowski took his first steps in filmmaking the Leningrad Documentary Film Studio. His debut film “Belvy” (1993) caused a sensation both among film critics and cinema lovers. It received numerous awards, among others Joris Ivens Award at the IDFA festival. Subsequent documentaries by Kossakowski, such as “Tishe!” (2002), “Svyato” (2005), or his last “Vivan las Antipodes!” (2011), were screened at many of the most prestigious film festivals, such as Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, or Venice FF. Kossakowski’s master class will be entitled “Shoot or Not to Shoot.”
Wiktor Kossakowski’s master class is going to take place on 16th December in Iluzjon Movie Theater (Stolica Hall) in Warsaw at 5.00 p.m. The class is going to be held in English and accompanied by a presentation of the 2013 Dragon Forum.
