Among today’s meetings you can find:
- at. At 15:00 in the Aula of the Academy of Fine Arts, the first meeting of the new series will take place – KFF Talks: About memory. Where wild strawberries grow, or what physics, neuroscience and the art of reportage say about the phenomenon of memory. The meeting will be attended by: Anna Bikont, Mateusz Hohol, Krzysztof Meissner
- meeting after the screening at 15:00 at Kino Kijów with Fabien Greenberg and Bård Kjøge Rønning, directors of the film “Mały Axel”
- meeting after the screening at 15:30 at Kino pod Baranami with Gilad Inbar, director of the film “Shlomo Bar. Documentary Musical”
- meeting after the screening at 17:00 in the Małopolski Ogród Sztuki with Michał Bolland and Sobiesław Zasada, the director and protagonist of the film “Zasada” and Betina Bożek, the director of the film “Dessert Dachshund“
- After the screening of the film “The Hamlet Syndrome”, opening the Krakow Film Festival, we invite you to Q&A with the participation of Elwira Niewiera, Piotr Rosołowski and the protagonists of the film.
My place Ozerna, Exhibition of photos by Karina Będkowska – please join us for the vernissage at the Małopolski Ogród Sztuki, at 4:00 p.m. The photos presented at the exhibition are intended for sale, and the income will be donated to DOCU/HELP, a fund supporting Ukrainian filmmakers. The exhibition is open from 29 May to 4 June | Free admission
The opening Ceremony of the 62. Krakow Film Festival, May 29, 19:30 | Kino Kijów, Al. Krasińskiego 34
The ceremonious opening of the 62nd Krakow Film Festival will include the presentation of the jury members and the screening of the opening film. Polish premiere of the film “Hamlet Syndrome”, dir. Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski with the participation of the artists. The inauguration will be chaired by Krzysztof Gierat – the director of the Festival.
The gala will be graced by a mini recital by the composer and pianist Włodek Pawlik, the only Grammy award winner in the history of Polish jazz, who chairs this year’s International DocFilmMusic competition jury.
